School & family pilot

Help students keep up with schoolwork.

Finding an assignment, getting started, and remembering to turn it in can be a lot to manage. Avello helps students keep track of each step, using information from the school tools they already rely on.

What we want to learn

Could schoolwork be easier to manage?

We want to see whether having assignments and next steps in one place helps students spend less time searching, get started more easily, and turn in more of the work they finish.
How it fits together

Bring school platforms into one clear daily plan.

Teachers keep using their existing tools for assignments and grades. Avello helps students organize what they need to do and check what still needs attention.

Trying Avello

Start small and see what helps.

Who can take part

Participants

A family can try Avello with their student. A school or district can start with a small group. Together, we would agree on who takes part, how long to try it, and what permission is needed.
Daily use

Student experience

Students see what to do next, choose a short work session, and track assignments from started to turned in and checked. They can also note where they are stuck and keep study materials organized by subject.
What we would look for

How we would know it helps

We would compare how things are going before and during the pilot: time spent finding assignments, missing work, and work finished but not turned in. We would also ask students and families what feels easier and what still gets in the way. Reports would summarize results across the group.
Our part

What Avello provides

  • A place to organize schoolwork that does not change grades or assignments in school systems.
  • Encrypted school connection details, with each student seeing only their own records.
  • Clear documentation of the data we use, how we check it, where to get help, and what we learn.
  • A way to revoke connection access while keeping previously imported history, without revealing connection details.
  • A clear distinction between work that has been turned in and work the school has confirmed.
What we would need from you

For school or district pilots

  • A staff member to lead the pilot and contacts who can help with technology and student support.
  • Approved access to the student information system, where supported.
  • School-authorized access to learning platforms, such as Canvas, where supported.
  • Agreement on which learning resources to include and which can connect automatically.
  • Test accounts, a list of participating schools, approval for the data shared, and a suitable time to sync.
  • A review of family consent, accessibility, how long records are kept, security, and district agreements.
Student information

Be clear about what is shared.

Read only

The connection reads the records needed to organize work and check its status. It does not change grades, attendance, class lists, or transcripts.

Each student’s own records

Students can see only the records linked to their own school account.

No portal passwords

Students and parents do not need to give Avello their Infinite Campus password. The district provides a separate connection that it can revoke.

Before a school pilot starts

We would review school sign-in, accessibility, privacy, security, and data agreements with the district before launching.
Getting started

See how Avello could fit your family or school.

School and district connections need approval before they can be turned on. We would work with your team to agree on what information is shared and arrange access.

Try Avello

Families, schools, and districts are welcome to explore a pilot. Connections depend on the tools you use and the access available. Mentioning a school platform does not imply a partnership or endorsement.
